Built for every trail...
The all new Giant Anthem Advanced SX is a rare breed in the United States. Not many of these exclusive beauties arrived state side - about 250 actually. We were able to nab a few of them and let's just say that this bike has thoroughly impressed us.
We have tested this bike on just about everything; from steep and loose lines in Flagstaff, to the technical rock gardens of Sedona, to sharp and rocky chunder in Phoenix. The verdict? Pretty much, if you're looking for a sick, all-around trail bike, then you might want to come and test ride the Anthem Advanced SX.
Giant made some changes to the Anthem's design this year, including a beefy upper linkage made out of carbon fiber, increasing the strength of the rear triangle. Slacker angles on the head tube, a longer top tube, and a lower standover make the bike more aggressive, taking the XC platform to a whole new level. The new design is a testament to modern advancements in cross country mountain biking.
Enhanced with 110mm of rear suspension, all models of the 2017 Anthem are more capable this year. However, the SX makes things more interesting with a Rock Shox Pike RC Solo Air 130mm fork up front. Other models are spec'd with a 120mm fork and carbon wheels making them lighter and more suited for cross country. The SX brings more travel to the trail, giving you a extra room to play - and who doesn't want that?
